Part travelogue, adventure and coming-of-age story, season two of On the Road in America follows four young Arabs—two women and two men—as they embark on a quintessentially American rite of passage: a cross-country road trip. Like the acclaimed first season, this installment of On the Road will view America through the eyes of these young Arabs, while fostering cross-cultural exchange and understanding. The travelers take part in “typical” American experiences and gaining insights into formative events that shaped American culture. The people they meet, and adventures they have along the way, provide a unique look into the lives and experiences of Americans and act as catalysts for personal growth and acceptance. Through the prism of the cast's perceptions, Americans will develop a better understanding of Arabs and, hopefully, themselves. The second season of On the Road features a young and diverse cast. Sara This season, the cast began their journey in Los Angeles and traveled to Washington, DC via the Southwest, deep South and Mid-Atlantic states. Each location provided a context for exploring important issues such as capitalism, poverty, faith, race relations and education. The second season will premiere in primetime on MBC1, on Friday March 19 at 19:00 GMT.
